Function and aesthetics harmoniously converge in the creation of Aksel, a contemporary and essential writing desk that boasts intricate artistic and technical details, accentuating its uniqueness.
Aksel’s standout feature is its structurally divided tabletop, consisting of two sections separated by a cut, which allows for the combination of different materials. The main section of the top is always in canaletta walnut, while the back section can also be made of marble or leather pelle Plus in the colours of the collection. The groove between the two sections accommodates an oval pencil holder and a round storage tray, both elegantly lacquered in Champagne finish as well as cable management for electronic devices. The addition of a right or left drawer transforms Aksel into a functional writing desk that meticulously attends to both structural and aesthetic elements.
Founded in 2006 in Milan by Marco Paolelli and Sandro Meneghello, after graduating from the Design Polytechnic University, Studio Meneghello Paolelli works with Italian and foreign companies to create added value through product design.
