Captivatingly elegant, Alan is a collection of dining tables gathered under a recurrent design element: the half-moon-shaped legs, in canaletta walnut, steal the spotlight, creating an ingenious chiaroscuro effect.
The adjustable position of the legs – three or more individual units, or two half-moon-shaped elements paired together – frames dynamic patterns and offers great freedom of composition and plenty of solutions to fit the living spaces. The wooden leg is further embellished with metal end-feet, available in black chromed or brushed brass. Alan is a modern dining table whose extreme versatility allows it to seamlessly blend in various backgrounds, from luxurious dining rooms to more minimalist and laid-back settings. Hosting wooden, marble, ceramic or clear glass tops, Alan is a contemporary dining table available in several dimensions and is designed to accommodate custom-sized versions as well.
Gabriele Buratti, architect and professor of interior architecture at the Design department of Politecnico di Milano and Oscar Buratti, architect, together founded the BURATTI ARCHITETTI studio. The Studio has a multidisciplinary practice, which covers buildings and urban areas, architecture to interiors, furniture and object design, as well as design of exhibitions and showrooms. An intense and varied professional path in which themes, places and typologies, brands and people, materials and craftsmanship, mingle together. Buratti brothers share with Porada the intention of combining culture and professional specialization, experimentation and technique, original visions, and product quality. “We don’t believe in striking gestures, but in the ability to transfer into the object a broader view of the space, good technique and care of detail.”
Porada
Everything ‘s born from the love of wood. The solid wood, worked with the craftsmanship of those who know how to turn a log into a piece of artwork. Porada has its origin in this passion. It was established in 1968 by Luigi Allievi with the aim of expanding the production of chairs, started in 1948.
The Porada collection is wide and varied, made up of a multitude of occasional furniture developed in cooperation with designers as Marconato and Zappa, Carlo Ballabio, David Dolcini, Emmanuel Gallina, Patrick Jouin, Tarcisio Colzani, Staffan Tollgard, Studio Opera, Gino Carollo, Dainelli Sudio and Studio Buratti among the others.
