Minimalist lines and clearly visible wood grain perfectly express the essence of Atlante collection of sideboards.
In addition to the modern bar furniture, the extensive Atlante family also includes a rich collection of sideboards. The frames, available in the company’s iconic Canaletta walnut, or in ash – which is obtained from Porada’s own sustainable forests -, is available in different heights and lengths, making these modern sideboards suitable for spaces of any size. The upper shelves are available in different materials and finishes, from wood or frosted back-coated glass, to marble, while the interiors are equipped with glass shelves and led lighting, available for some models. The Atlante 2, 4 and 5 versions differ from the others in the presence of smoked glass doors. The rich Atlante collection is completed by the modern bar cabinet.
It features two smoked glass doors and tops in ash or Canaletta walnut wood, available in different finishes. The interior, with three compartments, is equipped with a glass holder and a large wooden drawer with slow closure, in which Porada offers the possibility to easily insert the Mix Tray. The central compartment is lightened through a system of led lights and is adjustable by remote control. This product with its sophisticated and elegant design is a clear expression of the union of aesthetics and functionality, included in every Made in Italy project by Porada. The design with minimalist lines and the wood grain, clearly visible along all edges, evoke the typical features of the Ziggy collection, to which they perfectly match.
Since 2011 he has been in charge of product development director and designer at Porada. He was born in Cantù (Como) in 1967, in his twenties he studied at IPSIA G. Meroni of Lissone, near Milan, as a technician for the furniture and design industry. In 1990 he obtained a master’s degree in Industrial Design at Instituto Europeo di Design in Milan. After graduation, Ballabio worked for the Paolo Nava design practice and then for Paola Navone as senior designer. During his career he designed many products, some of which can be found exhibited at the Triennale in Milano. For Porada he designed many of the most popular products, including the highly successful Ziggy collection. What makes its design unique is the steadily search for the perfect combination of aesthetics and functionality.

Everything ‘s born from the love of wood. The solid wood, worked with the craftsmanship of those who know how to turn a log into a piece of artwork. Porada has its origin in this passion. It was established in 1968 by Luigi Allievi with the aim of expanding the production of chairs, started in 1948.
The Porada collection is wide and varied, made up of a multitude of occasional furniture developed in cooperation with designers as Marconato and Zappa, Carlo Ballabio, David Dolcini, Emmanuel Gallina, Patrick Jouin, Tarcisio Colzani, Staffan Tollgard, Studio Opera, Gino Carollo, Dainelli Sudio and Studio Buratti among the others.
