The exquisite balance of materials and finishes, combined with the sophistication of details, embodies the stylistic signature that Porada and Buratti have created through each project they have developed together.
Coquet is a series of coffee and side tables that offers a modern interpretation of the classic design features of these pieces of furniture. The marble tops – available in the colours of the collection – are distinguished by elegant and smoothed edges and rest on slightly sloped metal legs in two different finishes – brushed bronzed brass or nickel. Available in different heights, shapes and sizes, these modern coffee tables are classified as extremely versatile and functional elements, designed to be placed in stylish modern living rooms, in front of a sofa or next to an armchair, but also suitable to be used in a contemporary bedroom as practical nightstands.
Gabriele Buratti, architect and professor of interior architecture at the Design department of Politecnico di Milano and Oscar Buratti, architect, together founded the BURATTI ARCHITETTI studio. The Studio has a multidisciplinary practice, which covers buildings and urban areas, architecture to interiors, furniture and object design, as well as design of exhibitions and showrooms. An intense and varied professional path in which themes, places and typologies, brands and people, materials and craftsmanship, mingle together. Buratti brothers share with Porada the intention of combining culture and professional specialization, experimentation and technique, original visions, and product quality. “We don’t believe in striking gestures, but in the ability to transfer into the object a broader view of the space, good technique and care of detail.”
Porada
Everything ‘s born from the love of wood. The solid wood, worked with the craftsmanship of those who know how to turn a log into a piece of artwork. Porada has its origin in this passion. It was established in 1968 by Luigi Allievi with the aim of expanding the production of chairs, started in 1948.
The Porada collection is wide and varied, made up of a multitude of occasional furniture developed in cooperation with designers as Marconato and Zappa, Carlo Ballabio, David Dolcini, Emmanuel Gallina, Patrick Jouin, Tarcisio Colzani, Staffan Tollgard, Studio Opera, Gino Carollo, Dainelli Sudio and Studio Buratti among the others.
