The real protagonist of this simple and refined design is the eternity of the marble and the liveliness of the wood.
With its compact and contained dimensions, Maskara is a dressing table designed by Emmanuel Gallina for Porada. The frame in solid ash wood is obtained from the company’s own sustainable forests and available in all the collection’s finishes. The frame conceals a practical central drawer and elegantly supports the marble top. Porada also offers the homonymous stool, characterized by the same rounded lines with an upholstered seat in all the fabrics and leathers of the collection. An adjustable mirror with a brushed bronzed brass frame and a practical storage drawer, also made of ash wood like the structure, complete the design of the Maskara dressing table.
He graduated from E.N.A.D in Limoges and I.A.V in Orléans, and further deepened his knowledge at Politecnico di Milano University, obtaining a diploma of Master in design & management. He currently works for his own studio, essentially working between Italy and France, opening new collaborations with highly contemporary international brands such as Porada. Elegance, clarity and simplicity are key elements in Emmanuel Gallina’s work. His creative ethos for authenticity and consistency is embodied in all his designs. In his opinion, attention to detail is a constant priority. Emmanuel Gallina is often invited to give lectures and organise workshops in France, Italy, China and Brazil. The key values that characterise his work are elegance, sobriety and simplicity. To describe his work as a designer, Gallina likes to quote Constantin Brancusi: “Simplicity is complexity resolved”.
