Unique style, intriguing design, and comfort are the main features of Penelope.
Penelope is an upholstered modern chair with a curved upholstered seat, available in the fabrics or leathers of the collection or in customer own material. The organic design of the curved frame of the seat and feet creates a unique style with an intriguing design, but it also grants a very high level of comfort, which is comparable to the one of modern armchairs. It is a perfect piece for high-end dining room sets, but it is also perfect as a bedroom chair or as an office desk chair. The curved legs are in solid wood, our iconic Canaletta walnut, one of the most prestigious natural woods. The elegant and modern design shows the craftmanship that most represents Porada’s vision, and the high quality of the materials used.
Maurizio Marconato – 1961 and Terry Zappa – 1963 were both born in Como. They studied architecture at Politecnico di Milano University, where they graduated with honours in 1986. After few years of experience, in 1991 they founded Studio Marconato & Zappa Architetti Associati. They have worked in the design field since 1981, creating products for major home and office furniture companies, working together through all the steps of bringing a design to the market, from the main concept to the marketing, and supporting them with graphic, photography and creation of exhibition stands. Their collaboration with Porada has led to the creation of many sophisticated design products, including the wonderful Pilar table.
